Martha Morgan Country
This is a new initiative, launched in April 2016, designed to encourage readers of the Angel Mountain Saga (and locals and holidaymakers too) to visit the landscape in which the novels are set. The project was supported with grant aid and practical assistance from Refreshing North Pembrokeshire, and it is a pleasure to offer our sincere thanks to staff members Kate, Natalie, Dennis and Dave.
The basis of the project is a portfolio of photographs commissioned from photographer Steve Mallett, and featuring Rhiannon James (acting the part of Mistress Martha) in many of the key locations from the stories. Appropriate costumes were hired for the project, and three days of photography were completed in the winter and spring leading up to the project launch. Plenty of problems were encountered along the way, but by and large the weather was kind to us, and with the goodwill of many property owners we were able to visit most of the planned locations. It was a pleasure to work with Steve and Rhiannon, who were both very professional and hard-working -- and the resulting portfolio is quite stunning....... see it for yourself!
