The Compendium
One of the most rewarding projects of my time as a writer has been the collection and publication of more than 500 local folk tales from all parts of Pembrokeshire and on a vast range of topics. Four hardback books were published, but they have been out of print for many years. But in celebration of the year of Legends, Pembrokeshire CC kindly agreed to scan and digitise the books in full, and these are now available on the web, courtesy of the People's Collection Wales. To get at them, please use the links below:

Some great local characters
Some of the great folk tales of Pembrokeshire happened a long time ago -- but there are still plenty of eccentric people around -- and stories are told about them in their home communities and further afield. Some of these folk heroes were also famous story tellers -- like Shemi Wad of Goodwick, teller of tall tales...........
